Having taught you how to hold, use, and reload a gun, Ludwig was satisfied with your determination in war.  With his thick germen accent, he stated ''you know, there aren't many like you _________.  Unlike Italy and others, you are different… ah, in a good way though.'' For the first time, you saw him smile. ''You know, I've been thinking for a while and I just wanted you to know that I-'' before he could finish his sentence, the door swung open.  

''G-general Beilschmidt!  The enemy has us surrounded!''

''What?'' you both screamed.  ''This can't be… they couldn't have possibly…''

''Everyone! Prepare your weapons!'' he orders.  He turned to face you, ''sorry ___________, I guess that thought will have to wait.'' You nodded to confirm your understanding and loaded your gun.  ''Ah __________, I don't want you to get hurt.  I have to ask you to help aid the injured.''  You were disappointed but you didn't wine, you immediately went to your post.  

Soon, you heard the first fire begin.  Everything went loud and insane.  For those moments, you wanted Ludwig save from harm.  Later, the injured began to pile up.  ''W-where's Ludwig?'' you ask Gilbert, his brother.  ''He, he's still fighting…'' he gave out a little laugh as you made your way with a gun.  

You saw Ludwig surrounded by people.  You rushed in to save him.

''What are you doing? I thought I told you to-''

''Don't worry… I'll be fine. We just have to watch each other's backs… right?''

His face turned red and became more serious.
